An assorted collection of Photos over the years. I took to photography as a hobby in mid 2005. Although I started taking landscape and portrait shots, i later developed an interest for travel photography. These days, I lean towards Street Photography and nothing interests me more than the sheer randomness of people and decisive moment capture.

Photos taken during my backpacking trip to Indonesia (precisely Bali and Java) in early 2009. It is an assorted collection of different styles. I think I was able to reconnect with photography (after a long time).

cambodia

Photos taken during my second trip to Cambodia in fourteen month period. It is an assorted collection of different styles and includes photos taken during my early 2008 trip to Siam Reap and early 2009 trip to Phnom Penh.

nyc

During end of 2006, as I decided firmly to move back to India, I started to travel within US - at a frequency higher than the usual. Ironically, I started to love the independent and vibrant life of NYC. My superficial take on my daily commute to NYC from New Jersey was - @ NYC everyone felt like minority. There was this whole world converging at one place. That said, I am not sure if I would have enjoyed a life as a Yankee.

NYC is also the first place where I started my Street Photography. I had absolutely no clue and just resorted to snaps that might capture life over there. I roamed around middle and lower Manhattan and a bit in the Bronx region.

Snaps taken during my road trip to Goa in early 2009. This was a period when I was in a hibernation mode with regards to Photography (as a hobby). I had lost interest and had sold off my wide angle and medium-to-telephoto lens.

This is a quote from the Sam Mendes movie, "Revolutionary Road". I could sense the inner meaning of the quote when I visited the Secret-21 Prison at Phnom Penh. A meaningless brutality of Khmer Rouge on its own people - fueled by corrupted ideology of its founding members.
